Let us pray,
Eternal God, in your only beloved Son, whom you raised to be King of all creation, you desired to make all things new. In your mercy grant to Christ the King Cathedral Parish new graces to partner with you in the ongoing renewal of faith and action in our 75th year of Catholic life in Atlanta. Inspire us to bow in reverence to Jesus the King that our hearts may always be humble in serving him and revealing him to the poor among us. Lead and guide us in our ongoing faith formation by seeking out the lost, reconciling the estranged, healing victims and welcoming strangers. We commit our minds to dream new dreams and our hearts to share the love you generously share in your son, Christ The King, who is worthy of all praise and honor forever and ever. Amen.

Composed for the 75th anniversary of the founding of Christ the King Parish in Atlanta, Georgia, 1936 - 2011. It was elevated to the rank of Cathedral when Atlanta was made a diocese on July 2, 1956.
